Joanna and Zaf are engaging doctors who deliver high-quality, interactive and clinically relevant sessions. Given the endless learning in medicine and the hands-on nature of our profession, they deliver high-yield topics in clinical contexts to optimise students’ understanding. Their years of hospital experience and genuine passion for medical education are invaluable. They have both personally inspired me to become a better clinician.

Very relevant content for the rural generalist and what a fun way to learn, network with colleagues and have fun at the same time!

Medscapades is a fantastic experience if you want practical crit care skills. Loved the outdoor activities especially the cultural component of the kayak tour, and the games night. Opportunities for networking is the highlight I would say. Others include the inotrope/vasopressor lecture (outstanding lecture) and Seldinger technique tutorial by Jude

Pip McIlroy is a great teacher, mentor and role model for all the juniors in Cairns ICU, both personally and professionally.
Pip is our first point of call to manage whatever disaster scenario we may present to her. From our personal mid life crisis (of which there are many) to the complex deteriorating patient in the middle of the night.
She is calm under pressure and always gives practical and sensible advice both in person and over the phone. Pip can comfortably walk anyone though how to manage what would have otherwise been a very scary situation. She always takes time to teach no matter how busy the day may be and has the ability to make complex issues seem simple and easy to understand. Pip would be an asset to have on the staff of any teaching course and it would be a seamless extension of what she does every day for us.
